Savage 2 Ladder FAQ:

1. Participating in the ladder.

To participate in the ladder, you must be able to field 5 players regularly for matches. If you cannot do this, or do not want to play matches, you can still register your team and it will be placed in the "Inactive" section of the forum. When you then wish to join the ladder or have enough members, then you can apply to enter.

2. Challenging and Challenges.

You may issue a challenge to the two clans directly above you in the ladder. You cannot issue a challenge if you have an open challenge already. (Whether you have issued or are defending a challenge). There is a template and guidline for a challenge in the challenge forum.

3. Match Rules and Guidelines.

3.1 - Match Styles

There are three match styles recommended. The participating clans should decide this before the match.

A) Single Round. A single round of savage 2, with the winner of the round winning the match.

B) Double Round. Recommended for EU vs US. Two rounds of savage 2 on the same map, changing sides. First round to be played on the challengers home server, second round on the challenged teams home server. In the event of a 1-1 tie, the team that won their round in the fastest time wins the match

C) Triple Round. Three rounds of savage 2. In the event of a 1-1 tie, a third round is played with the team that won in the fastest time choosing their preferred side for the final round.

3.2 - Match Rules

A) No runes allowed. This must be enforced by players. A team who are proved to be breaking this rule will be disqualified from that match and demoted one ladder place.

B) In the event of a team being short of players, they may play the match with mercenaries picked up from online servers. When posting the match result, they must declare the mercenary that played for them and their sf. This is to encourage all games to be played. Common sense applies when deciding if the match is valid or not. (e.g - if a 130 sf team recruit a 200+sf player, the match will not count and will be placed in the exhibition section. If they recruit a 90 sf mercenary, the match will count)

C) Minimum number of players for a match is 5v5. As long as agreed by both clans, there is no upper limit as long as the number of players on each team is equal.

4. Exhibition Matches

In addition to ladder challenges, teams may issue exhibition matches. They do this by posting the time and date of the exhibition match, where it can then be accepted by another clan. The result is then posted in the exhibition match subthread. The rules in exhibition matches must be decided by the participants.

5. Results

Once a match has been played, the result can then be posted in the challenged teams thread. Either team can post the result.
